Projects
Think Outside of the Box
For this project we cut a random piece out of a magazine and drew the rest of the magazine paper on the sketch paper. This project was very fun and creative and for our last project, this was very enjoyable.
Dream House
For this project we designed our dream house. My house is designed as a basic suburb home.
For this project we painted in the style impressionism. You can style your painting like this by small stokes, water colors, and thin lines. For my impressionism painting, I painted a sunset on the ocean. This project was very fun and creative because I love to paint.
Alebrijes Project
For this project we did Alebrijes. You can create alebrijes by thinking of things like animals or humans and putting them together. For example, mine is an owl with cam ears and human legs. This project was very fun and I would love to continue more similar projects.
Self Portrait Reference Photo
For this project, we got the opportunity to chose a reference photo and draw it ourselves. I found this project fun and love to draw the eyes when I draw self portraits. All in all, I enjoyed this project more than the other self portrait project.
Self Portrait
For this project, we began a self portrait project. I really like this project because it's out of my art style comfort zone, and it really shows how well I can draw. All in all, this project was super fun.
Close up Value Drawings.
For my third project, we did up close and value drawings. We Chose three random drawings, I chose a lily pad with flowers, a cherry blossom tree, and a cactus. My favorite one to draw was the cactus and my least favorite one to draw was the lily pad with flowers.
Book binding
For my second project, we did book binding for our sketch book. We used 2 pieces of cardboard, 25 pieces of white paper, 1 piece of fabric, a piece of yarn, a needle, paint, glue, and scissors. This project was pretty easy but I struggled with sewing.
Masks
For my first project in Art 1 this year we learned how to sew face masks. I cut up an old t-shirt to use as fabric for the face mask, I sew them to the length of the two pieces of paper we used to use as the length of the mask, and also cut up headbands and used those as strings to fit around my ears. This has been the hardest project to start out with and even struggled with my friends but, it came together at the end as you can see.
